John Deere Tractor History
John Deere was born in Rutland, Vermont on February 7th 1804. He moved to Illinois in 1836 where he started his business.
John Deere was a farmer and an inventor; most notably he invented the first practical plow, which is still used today by farmers around the world. He founded his company in 1837 and it’s currently one of the largest agricultural equipment manufacturers in the world!
He died on May 17th 1886 at 82 years old.
John Deere Tractor Features
John Deere tractors are known for their reliability, quality and durability. For example, the legendary black-and-yellow tractor pictured below is a 7720 tractor that has been in continuous use on a farm since 2004. The tractor shown below was built in 1948 and was used to pull logs out of the woods until it was retired in 1960.
John Deere tractors are also known for their power: they can perform all functions required on most farms including plowing, cultivating, seeding, harvesting grain and transporting equipment with ease. In addition to these functions they have many other uses such as mowing grass on lawns or clearing brush from pastures.
While John Deere tractors have earned a reputation for being powerful machines there’s another side of them which makes them very efficient too! This means less fuel consumption which ultimately leads to lower operating costs compared to other brands such as Caterpillar who offer comparable features but at higher prices due largely because their machines aren’t quite as efficient yet still require large amounts of fuel consumption despite having large engines under hoods when compared with those found under hoods found under hoods found under hoods (etc).
Tractor Implements
Of course, a tractor is only as good as its implements. The implements are the parts of a tractor that allow it to perform farming tasks. They can be attached to the front or back of the tractor and in different positions. For example, when you’re using your tractor for plowing and planting, you would attach an implement on each side called a cultivator. If you’re using your tractor to pull another piece of equipment behind it (such as a fertilizer spreader), then you might attach an implement in between those two pieces (a hitch).
John Deere Tractor Safety
Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes. If you wear contact lenses, they can become damaged by exposure to dust and chemicals. Wear hearing protection when using loud tools, especially those that emit sound levels above 85 decibels (dB). Long pants, long-sleeved shirt, gloves and steel-toed boots are necessary for protection against injuries from flying debris or falling objects. A helmet should be worn for all activities involving power equipment or hand tools with rotating parts (e.g., lawn mowers). A dust mask should be worn when working with lead-based paint or asbestos materials in areas where these substances are present at high concentrations (i.e., > 100 mg/m3) in order to prevent lung irritation by inhalation of these hazardous substances; alternatively a face shield can be used instead of a dust mask; however it is important not use both at the same time since they will interfere with each other’s function if worn simultaneously
