In order to make the market viable, it was decided to create a permanent location for it and the Gallatin Valley Farm and Craft Market was born.

In 2001, it moved from its original location on Main Street to its current location on East Hickory Avenue. In 2007, it began offering weekend breakfast service as part of its cultural programming lineup.
