We are currently developing several innovative techniques for urban commercial scale production of high-quality crops at minimal cost by using recycled materials. We’ve already built two prototype greenhouses that demonstrate our approach:
- The first model was constructed from wooden pallets—a common material in many cities—to demonstrate how easy it is to make a greenhouse structure out of this readily available material. This greenhouse was designed using open source software called Open Frameworks (OFX), which allows users to easily create interactive visuals on their computers without having any previous knowledge about coding or programming languages.
