The first step in lifting the tractor’s rear end is to remove the mower deck. You must also disengage the key. Depending on the model, you may need to remove the rear ballast or tire chains. For X300 and X500 models, you will need 2 or 4 suitcase weights. Four Wheel Steer models will require a weight bracket. The rear lift bracket must line up with the lift arm holes. Then, you can install the lift assist spring by following the instructions found in the Operator Manual.

Adjustable lift assist spring kit

If you own a John Deere X300 tractor, you must install an Adjustable Lift Assist Spring Kit. This kit is required by the LP33711 Electric Lift Kit. It comes with two 19H1914 bolts and two N10217 lock nuts. To install this kit, you must first remove the rear bagger chute. After the chute is removed, attach the LP22861 25-gal. Mounted Sprayer and mid-mount mower attachments.

This spring kit is designed to help you change the height of your mower deck. It is recommended to install this kit if you own an X300 or a X304 tractor without a deck. In addition, AM136646 is required for X300 and X304 tractors that ship without a deck. You can also use the winter grill cover for MY2006-2013 X300s, X500s, and X534 tractors.

Mounting the spring kit

In addition, the M146542 Rubber Blade Squeegee requires seven 03M7188 bolts and 14M7273 nuts.

The X300 and X304 Tractors come without a deck, but they ship with a 38X or 42X Mower Deck or 42M Snow Blower deck. To use a 44-inch Snow Blower, you need the AM136646 lift assist spring kit. This lift assist spring kit will not work with a hydraulic lift. If you’re installing the lift assist spring kit on the X300 tractor, be sure to read the installation manual.

Installing the spring kit

Before you can complete the John Deere X300 Lift Astist Spring Installation, you should know what parts are needed. For example, if you have an X300-38 tractor, you need the AM136646 Lift Assist Spring Kit. If you have an X304-42X tractor, you need the AM136646 Lift Assist Spring Kit. If you want to add a Snow Blower attachment to your tractor, you’ll need to install the AM136646 lift assist spring kit. If you want to use the hydraulic lift, you’ll need to order the AM136646 Lift Assist Spring Kit.

To install the lift assist spring, you must first remove the deck from the tractor. Make sure the front hitch is in line with the hole in the front draft assembly. Next, install the rear lift bracket. Finally, insert the swivel bushing into the hole in the rear lift bracket and secure it with the spring pin. The lift assist spring is then ready for use! After installing the spring, you must adjust the spring in accordance with the Operator Manual.
